IFMF Grant history
The Idaho Freemason Foundation is a unique philanthropy in the way it distributes funds. There are 45 Masonic Lodges in 42 towns and cities throughout the state of Idaho, comprised of men who live and work there and know their community well. Through their home lodge, they identify local worthwhile causes, provide their own resources, and apply to the Foundation for limited matching funds. If the project falls withing the mission of the Foundation (promote the safety, education and well-being of children in Idaho) then they can receive an award. Since 2017, the Foundation has distributed $40,121 for these causes. As these are limited matching grants, the awards listed below account for at minimum $80,242 in charitable giving with local impact throughout Idaho. Most lodges gave far more than the minimal match, so the total is much greater than that.
